Hey gals! I’m so excited to share every little detail of my Halloween “Get Ready with Me” routine, from skincare must haves to my go-to makeup. If you saw my TikTok, you already know I went for a subtle, but shimmery look. Today lets go deep into each product that helped me create that look! With this lineup, you’ll be ready to recreate the perfect makeup look for any season, holiday, or just a regular day when you want to look and feel your best. Skincare Essentials to Prep & Perfect
First things first: the best makeup looks always start with skincare. Halloween is the perfect excuse to go all out with makeup, but prepping your skin ensures a flawless base that stays all night. Let’s go through each step in the routine and why these products are my holy grails.
I kicked off my Halloween routine with the Indie Lee Brightening Facial Cleanser, which is one of my all time favorite products for clear, glowing skin. This daily hydrating cleanser not only removes impurities but also doubles as a gentle exfoliator and face mask. I love using it because it feels luxurious and leaves the skin bright and smooth—perfect for layering makeup! This product is especially ideal for dry or sensitive skin, and it’s full of natural ingredients that keep my skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated. I also love how it doesn’t foam too much, so I can still breathe when I wash my face.
Next, I used my favorite toner—Pixi Glow Tonic. This glycolic acid toner has become a staple in my skincare routine because it brightens my skin, evens out my complexion, and gives me that “lit from within” glow. It makes sure to get rid of anything extra your cleanser didn’t, plus it smells so good! If you’re someone who loves the idea of radiant skin, this is your go-to. The glycolic acid helps exfoliate dead skin cells, leaving my face super soft and ready for makeup. Trust me, this toner makes all the difference when you want your skin to glow under any kind of lighting, Halloween or not!
No makeup look is complete without giving some love to the under-eye area, and Clinique’s All About Eyes Serum is the answer! It’s a cooling, de-puffing eye serum that targets dark circles and puffiness—perfect for those post-party tired eyes or just everyday use. The rollerball applicator makes it feel like a mini massage, which is a bonus. This serum not only hydrates but also preps the skin under the eyes for concealer, ensuring a smooth and creaseless finish. Note: this isn’t the exact Clinique product I used, but this is very similar.
Hydration is essential for any makeup look, especially for a night out. The Versed Dew Point Gel Moisturizer is incredibly lightweight and provides the right amount of hydration without making my skin feel greasy. It contains green tea extract and aloe, which are both fantastic for calming and refreshing the skin. I love this moisturizer for both daytime and evening looks because it leaves my skin soft and prepped for makeup. And as a bonus, it’s non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog pores! This moisturizer is my daily go-to, whether I’m wearing makeup or not. I definitely recommend checking out this moisturizer!
To complete my skincare prep, I reached for Aquaphor Healing Ointment. This product is a lifesaver for keeping lips soft and moisturized. I swear by Aquaphor—definitely recommend grabbing some! As a makeup primer, it helps lipstick stay put longer, which is essential for Halloween or any night where you want your makeup to last.
Makeup Staples for the Perfect Halloween Look
After skincare, it was time for the main event—makeup! With a well prepped base, I was ready to go in with my favorite products to create a look that lasted all Halloween night. This look is very simple, yet it’s so cute and leaves your face looking natural.
This concealer is a classic for a reason. It’s creamy, radiant, and offers incredible coverage without looking too cakey. I put it under my eyes and on any spots that needed a bit of extra coverage. This concealer is one of those products I rely on for any special occasion because it makes my skin look naturally flawless. I also love that this is very buildable, if you don’t want as much coverage then use less, but if you want more, then use more!
Setting powder is crucial for any long lasting makeup look, and the Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder is my go to for a natural, matte finish. I love how this powder is finely milled and doesn’t leave a chalky residue. It’s perfect for setting concealer under the eyes and keeping everything in place, especially for a night full of activities, like Halloween. The travel size is also perfect for tossing in a bag for touching up your look all night long!
For my eyes, I wanted something bold and dramatic that would catch the light, and the e.l.f. Liquid Metallic Eyeshadow in Moon was perfect! In my video, I used the REM Beauty liquid eyeshadow, but it’s not available on Amazon. Plus, this e.l.f. one is perfect and way more affordable! It’s super easy to apply with just one swipe, and the gel formula makes it last all night. For a Halloween look or any night out, this shadow is a fun way to add a little drama. I like using just a little bit, to get a nice shimmer on my eyes.
For my brows, I went with NYX’s Brow Glue to keep everything in place. This brow gel has extreme hold and keeps every brow hair where you want it without looking stiff. I love that it’s clear, so it works for any brow color. Strong brows help frame the face, especially for Halloween looks, and this product did not disappoint. I also like how it doesn’t flake off like some other eyebrow products.
Mascara is a must, especially when your eyelashes are blonde like mine. The Essence Lash Princess Mascara is my holy grail. It gives me that false lash effect without the hassle of actually trying to put on false lashes. It’s volumizing, lengthening, and doesn’t clump, which is everything I want in a mascara. I always reach for this one, or any Essence Lash Princess Mascara for any look where I want my eyes to stand out.
To enhance my lashes further, I used the basicConcepts Eyelash Curler. It’s designed for precision and easy use, with an ergonomic grip that makes it comfortable to use. This eyelash curler provides a long lasting curl without any pinching or pulling, which is crucial when you want a pain free beauty routine. It even comes with extra silicone pads and tweezers, making it a complete toolset for lash perfection! I always, always, always curl my eyelashes before mascara! It seriously makes them look so much better.
The Halo Blender by Uve Beauty is a favorite tool for blending foundation and concealer. Unlike traditional sponges, it can be washed from the inside out, which keeps it up to 99% bacteria-free—perfect for acne prone or sensitive skin. It’s also biodegradable and uses less product, which I love. This sponge helps you achieve a smooth, even finish, making it a game changer in your routine.
To set my under eyes, I used the Pimoys Powder Puff. Its unique triangular design is perfect for precise application around the eyes and nose. This puff provided a soft, matte finish that lasted all night, making it ideal for a long evening of Halloween fun. Plus, the velour texture feels luxurious and makes applying powder a breeze. Ever since I discovered powder puffs, I haven’t gone back!
To complete the look, I used a few brushes from the EcoTools Start the Day Beautifully Set. These eco-friendly brushes are made from recycled materials and are incredibly soft, making them perfect for blending eyeshadow, blush, and contour. I love using them for both everyday looks and more dramatic makeup. These are some of my favorite brushes by far!

The end result was a Halloween look that looked so good and I felt confident while wearing it. The combination of well prepped skin, shimmery eyes, and a cozy fall outfit made the night even more memorable.
